Infant and child interaction in Infant Community Infant Community

Parent & Child Programs

During the first three years of life, a child’s brain absorbs more information from the environment than at any other part of their lifetime. Every sight, sound, touch, taste, and smell is taken in and processed. It is an amazing, wondrous period in child’s life.

Our unique Parent & Child program is for both parents and children, and is designed to support the child’s natural curiosity to learn based on trust in the child’s natural abilities.

Preschool

Our Stage 1 builds upon the foundations offered in our Infant Community and is structured to facilitate children’s inquiring minds within a secure, community-minded environment.

Children take the first steps on their educational journey in these early years characterised by the sensitive periods of the ‘absorbent mind’. The 3-6 year Montessori curriculum nurtures this with practical life exercises, sensory materials and academic materials to awaken each child’s interest in reading, art, mathematics, science, botany, biology, geography and history.

Primary School

Primary children are seeking intellectual independence. They are excited to explore and understand their world and have a strong imagination and a growing ability to reason, think and reflect.

The Montessori curriculum caters for this level of development while meeting and extending beyond the outcomes stipulated in the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) syllabus.
