Let’s Bridge the Gap

On Tuesday 27th June, all Primary and extended day (kindergarten) students attended an in-school performance by Fred Reid and his son from the Daingattie tribe in North Western NSW. The “Let’s Bridge the Gap” performance was fun, captivating and insightful. Fred and his son spread their message about Aboriginal culture through music, dance and story. Students from each class were able to participate in dance and story, with the teachers also joining in at the end. Stage 1 extended day students were so inspired that they showed the rest of the class the “Emu” and “Kangaroo” dances the next day. It was a fun and enriching experience for the school leading up to NAIDOC week.
