Choir

Inner Sydney Montessori choir performance.

I don’t sing because I’m happy. I’m happy because I sing.
William James – “Father of American psychology”

Singing in groups is known to help promote a sense of wellbeing and belonging. Choirs are a wonderful way to extend children’s love of singing and help them to develop fundamental musical skills such as singing in tune, blending, and being able to sing one part whilst listening to several different parts. These are all essential skills for playing or singing in any musical setting.

Choir rehearsals incorporate musical games and movement activities with vocal warm-ups, singing a range of repertoire in unison and rounds, and learning a range of fun songs.

La Voz (Junior Choir – Stage 2)
